Margaret E. "Robin" Barry was born in Englewood, N.J. in 1957. She graduated from Wheaton North High School , Wheaton, Illinois in 1975. She was a member of the National Honor Society for 3 years, and received the Bosch and Lomb Science Award as well as the Award for the Outstanding Achievement in Art. She graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. from Yale University in 1979. She attended the Cleveland School of Art in 1979-1980. In 1982 she earned an M.A. in Medical Illustration from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland. 1n 1982 she accepted a position at the University of Florida as a Medical Illustrator in the Department of Neurosurgery. Her illustrations have appeared internationally in numerous Books, Journal Articles, slide presentations and Microsurgical Anatomy Teaching Manuals. She has been an Active Member in the Association of Medical Illustrators (A.M.I.) and is a board Certified Medical Illustrator (C.M.I.)

Special Interests: Microsurgical neuroanatomy, Computer generated medical, biological, and scientific illustration.
