Resident Information

R. Rick Bhasin, M.D. began his residency in Neurosurgery at UF in 2002. He earned his BA at Columbia University in NYC in Neuroscience-Economics in June 1998 and his MD degree from University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in June 2002. He was Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude at Columbia University. Dr. Bhasin did an AOA summer Research Fellowship in the Crosby Neurosurgical Lab at the University of Michigan in 1999. He graduated from medical school with the Edgar A. Kahn Award in Neurosurgery. Dr. Bhasin was awarded an NIH grant in 2005 for clinical applications of rapid prototyping technology in neurosurgery. In addition, he completed the update of the current departmental website. During his research year, he was the Stereotactic-Radiosurgery Fellow under Dr. Friedman at UF. He will complete his Residency in June 2009.
