Resident Information

MARYAM RAHMAN, MD graduated 10th of 99 students in her medical school class at the University of Florida in May 2005. In July 2005 she began her Residency in Neurosurgery at UF. Dr. Rahman was selected for membership in AOA as well as the Chapman Humanism Society which is the highest honor given to a student in the College of Medicine. Dr. Rahman was born and raised in Florida. She obtained her BA in Chemistry from Johns Hopkins University where she was a member of the Varsity Women's Fencing Team. As part of her research Dr. Rahman worked with Dr. Frank Bova and Dr. William Friedman composing instructional videos about basic neurosurgical skills/techniques for neurosurgical Residents. She is scheduled to complete the Program in June 2012.
