Angie was born in Miami Florida and graduated with her Associate's Degree in Nursing at South Florida Community College in 1987. In 1988 she moved to Gainesville and began working in pediatrics, including oncology here at Shands Hospital. She acted as charge nurse, preceptor and quality assurance coordinator for Unit 45 Adolescents. In 1995 she transferred to Shands Homecare managing adult and pediatric patients for oncology and transplant services requiring home infusion and acted as clinical coordinator. She received her Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Florida and was certified as an ARNP in 2005. She began working in the Department of Neurosurgery in 2005, primarily with Dr Jacob, our spine specialist. She is involved in perioperative assessment and management of patients in the hospital and clinic settings.

She enjoys the outdoors, especially gardening, photography and off road cycling.
