Gregory L. Fautheree , MD

GREGORY L. FAUTHEREE, MD began his residency in Neurosurgery at UF in 2003. Dr. Fautheree obtained his BS in Zoology at Louisiana State University in December 1997. He then studied at the University of Alabama at Birmingham before returning to LSU in New Orleans where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society and awarded his medical degree in June 2003.

Dr. Fautheree spent the 2005-06 year as the Endovascular Fellow under the direction of Dr. Brian Hoh and Dr. Chris Firment at UF and is currently completing his fellowship under the direction of the above as well as Dr. J Mocco. His primary interests are endovascular and open vascular neurosurgery as well as spine surgery. Dr. Fautheree was awarded the UF Neurosurgery High ABNS Primary Exam Board Score Award in 2008. He is expected to complete his Residency/Fellowship in June 2010. He will spend the last six months of his training as a junior faculty member.

Dr. Fautheree enjoys playing baseball, softball, and football, and tailgating for LSU football games from a remote location. He is married and has two children.
