Matthew F. Lawson, MD
MATTHEW F. LAWSON, MD, attended Harvard University and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in biochemical sciences in 2000. He then attended the University of Florida and received his medical degree cum laude in 2004. Currently, Dr. Lawson is doing an enfolded fellowship in endovascular neurosurgery with Drs. Hoh, Mocco and Firment.
In July 2006, Dr. Lawson became a resident in neurosurgery after completing a combined internship in the general surgery/plastic and reconstructive surgery program from July 2004-June 2006. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the Gold Humanism Honor Society, CNS, and AANS. Dr. Lawson was selected as a Council of State Neurological Societies Socioeconomic Fellow for 2009-2010.
Dr. Lawson is scheduled to complete the program in June 2012.
Dr. Lawson enjoys teaching personal financial planning and investing to graduating fourth year medical students in a medical school course called "Internship 101."
