Nathan Kohler, MD

NATHAN KOHLER, MD, attended the University of Washington were he obtained a BS in Ceramic Engineering followed by a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering. He has received an IGERT fellowship through the National Science Foundation and Joint Institute in Nanotechnology fellowships through Pacific Northwest National Laboratories. His graduate work was focused on using nanotechnology in the development of MRI contrast agents for cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. Following his studies at the University of Washington, he attended medical school at Brown University.

In addition to his academic pursuits, he continued his work in MRI and intra-operative contrast enhancement. He has a strong interest in teaching both graduate and medical students in medicine and engineering, intellectual property and product development in medicine.
